Creative Rest is Sacred: Why Pausing Fuels Your Magic

Creative Rest is Sacred: Why Pausing Fuels Your Magic

There’s a rhythm to creation that often gets overlooked.

We’re taught to chase productivity, to always be making, pushing, and producing. But the truth is, creation doesn’t only happen in the doing—it also blooms in the stillness, in the space between. Especially for writers, artists, and dreamers, rest isn’t a luxury—it’s a portal.

As I enter this new chapter—book finished, new life changes unfolding—I’m reminded of the sacredness of pause. Not the kind that’s forced by burnout, but the intentional kind. The kind where you say, “I trust the quiet.” The kind where you let your mind wander and let your spirit soften. Where inspiration hums beneath the surface, not demanding to be seen, but preparing to rise when you’re ready.

Here’s what I’m learning to lean into:

•Silence is a creative ingredient.

•Pausing is an act of self-trust.

•Doing nothing can be wildly productive for the soul.

So this is your gentle reminder: if your spirit is asking you to rest, listen. That rest is sacred. That lull is part of your rhythm. You are still a writer, still a visionary, even in your pause.

Let your magic simmer.

Your next wave is coming.

🌙 If you’ve been craving something quiet yet powerful to reconnect with, my new book was written in that spirit.

It’s raw, poetic, and rooted in rest, reckoning, and feminine remembering.

Take your time with it. Let it speak to the parts of you you’ve kept silent.

And if you’d like to hear me read a few pieces live, I’m hosting a virtual reading soon. Details are coming in the newsletter—make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it!
